PolicyBridge®: The operating system for delegated-authority insurance
PolicyBridge builds each insurance business its own policy system: one definition of an insurance product, from which the proposal form, wording, rater, quote, schedule, policy documents, bordereau and MI are compiled and kept in step.
Ask less. Know more. Bind faster. The client answers once. The broker and the underwriter work on the same locked answers, and the data files itself into every system downstream. Nothing chased, nothing retyped.
One record per risk, from the client to the claim
In most delegated-authority businesses a risk is typed in again at every step: the broker keys the proposal into their system, the slip is written up again for each market, the underwriter keys the rating factors into a rater, the quote and wording are assembled by hand, the bound risk is keyed into the policy administration system, every risk is re-entered into a monthly bordereau, and at renewal the whole chain runs again.
With PolicyBridge the proposal form is compiled from the product definition, so it only asks what the wording and the price need. The rater is compiled from the same definition, so the answers drive the price directly. Quote, schedule and wording cannot contradict each other. The policy, the bordereau, the ledger figures and the claim all start from the same record. Change the definition once and every document is rebuilt together, with a report of exactly what moved.
What you get
- Three connected desks, for the client, the broker and the underwriter, on one record per risk.
- Runs in any browser, offline if needed, with nothing to install.
- No client data leaves your business.
- Every answer and quote is sealed, so an altered figure shows.
- Your authority, limits and licence dates are enforced inside the file. Patent pending.
- Priced from your own rating book, with no AI in the pricing.
- Bordereaux and MI produced from the records, not rebuilt at month end.
How a pilot works
- Send one product as it is today: proposal form, wording, rating book and authority, in PDF or Word.
- We rebuild it as a smart form with the rater, the quote and the guide, all from one definition.
- Your team walks it side by side with the old way. Every correction is recorded.
- Keep it under a yearly licence and bring the next product, or stop there.

Questions
What is PolicyBridge?
PolicyBridge is the operating system for delegated-authority insurance. It takes one definition of an insurance product and compiles everything the business needs from it: the client's proposal form, the broker and underwriter desks, the rater, the quote, the schedule and wording, the policy documents, the bordereau and the management information. Because every piece comes from the same definition, nothing is rekeyed and nothing contradicts anything else.
Who is PolicyBridge for?
MGAs, coverholders, insurers and brokers who write business under binders, schemes and other delegated authority, in the UK and Lloyd's markets, especially in specialty commercial lines such as commercial combined, professional indemnity, media and entertainment, music and events, and airside risks.
How is PolicyBridge different from a portal or a policy administration system?
Portals and policy administration systems hold data that people key into them. PolicyBridge compiles the forms, rating and documents from one product definition, so the client answers once and that same record moves to the broker, the underwriter and every downstream system. It sits beside the systems an insurer already uses, such as Guidewire or Acturis, and feeds them, rather than replacing them.
How does PolicyBridge enforce delegated authority?
Each underwriter works under an authority level and limits set by the insurer. Every quote, referral and bind is held to that authority, a risk outside it is referred before it can be bound, and every action is traceable to the person who took it. PolicyBridge's approach is patent pending in the UK.
Does PolicyBridge use AI to price risks?
No. Prices come from the insurer's own rating book, so the same answers always give the same premium. AI is used to help turn existing documents into a product definition, never to set a price.
Where does client data go?
Nowhere outside the business. The forms run in an ordinary web browser, offline if needed, with nothing to install, and no client data is sent to PolicyBridge or anyone else.
Can PolicyBridge produce bordereaux and management information?
Yes. Because every quote and bind is already a structured record, the risk and premium bordereaux and the MI for each broker, product and binder are produced from the records themselves, including Lloyd's and carrier-specific layouts, instead of being rebuilt in a spreadsheet at month end.
How do we start?
Book a walkthrough, then send one product: the proposal form, wording, rating book and authority as they are today. PolicyBridge builds it beside your current process, your team tests it side by side, and you decide whether to keep it under a yearly licence. Nothing is migrated and nothing is switched off.
